Today I logged into my Sprint.com account and noticed a big change. Now there is an activation option which allows you to enter your ESN number in either DEC or HEX format and an email address. You will begin and online chat with a representative who will give you the further programming information of your phone. This is a major step for Sprint in becoming closer to the GSM networks out there using SIM cards whose users can easily pop their SIM card in and out of phones at any time to switch cell phones.

I must applaud Sprint for taking this course of action, but hasn’t Verizon already been offering this feature for some time? Anyways, second best is always better than last place. Now its time to test this online activation with a swap from the HTC Touch to the Motorola Q9c, I’ll let you know how that goes after the break.

ATT iPhone Customer. Former Verizon Customer…
VZW Has offered this option for 3 years now and you do not even have to talk to a sprint service chat person. You just enter new MEID number and then dial *228 from your phone and choose option 1 (which is to program the phone) and it gets it activated quickly. Takes 5 minutes to complete.
SPRINT SUCKS AS THEY ALWAYS HAVE.
