Sometimes our phone carriers decide to give us the run around, other times they fail to release the devices, and they have even gone to lengths to shut off our service if we roam at a level they deem excessive. These are all examples which do not compare to the outright denial of a severe problem with the Helio Ocean. Say hello to the White Screen Of Death. The Helio Ocean has been leaving a lot of dedicated Ocean fans in the dust without the capability to use their Web Browser. Since the Ocean does not offer firmware updates, there is no short fix for fixing this nightmare. If you are a Helio Ocean owner I would urge you to unite and provide any information you can about a fix for the white screen of death which does not involve exchanging the handset. Or if you have managed to accomplish the unthinkable and received a firmware update on your own via Internet download then let’s get this information out there.
At this point the solution seems to be a call to customer care and a guided factory reset of the device and re-activation. The Helio Ocean is back in business and I would recommend writting down the ##…. information the customer service rep provides you with when resetting the phone. The rep will also tell you to constantly clear your history, cache and cookies when browsing with the Helio Web Browser.

i stumbled across something somewhere that said if you start the browser and go to menu/search/settings then delete your cookies, cache & history and save all before the white screen appears and it may help.
Actually it worked for me! I was completely without the helio web browser for months and was dreading having to call customer service and do the hard reset thing then i stumbled across that and thought hell lets giver a try. I couldn’t do it quite fast before the background went white so i kept starting over before i would save. After the fifth time i thought screw it I will go through the whole procedure and save regardless of the background. I press saved and ill be damed if within a few seconds the Helio home page popped up! It worked for me, give it a try!
