For those of you who have been waiting to get your NES/SNES/PS gaming on with your newly updated or purchased iPhone Nate True has come to the rescue. The official jailbreak for iPhone 1.1.3 has been released, although it is stated to be use at your own risk and only recommended for experienced users at this point.
Iphone firmware 1.1.3 jailbreak is available online Here
Status: confirmed, sort of.
Today we followed the process of downgrading and we initially were stuck with the iPhone could not be restored error. The solution to this is to run classic iBrickr and let it repair your problem (download here). This allowed us to do the restore to firmware 1.1.1 and sent us back to the old activation screen temporarily before allowing us back into the iPhone. The problem was that even though this was a completely legit activated iPhone it now gave us a new error: Invalid SIM card, please use the pre-installed AT&T SIM. We continued to follow the instructions and did the ibrickr 1.1.3 to complete the process and have a jailbroken 1.1.3 iPhone.
The problem with the invalid SIM card still remains and iTunes does not show the phone number for the iPhone, but still allows full syncing. We are going to try doing a jailbreak with a different SIM card than the legit pre-installed AT&T SIM card and we will see how that goes.
Update to follow.
