Due to the recent failure by eBay to find a new home for the Nokia N95-3 NAM Edition I decided to go ahead and give the newest firmware a shot 11.2.009. I was previously running the stock firmware 10.2.006 and things were fine and dandy, but the natural inclination of any cell phone obsessed person is to want something bigger and better. So I went for gold and installed the Nokia Software Updater onto my Vista Ultimate machine (Note: Vista is not ultimate, just this edition). With a data cable and the Nokia Software Updater installed on my machine I was ready for the N95-3 11.2.009 firmware update to commence.

After about 15 minutes I was finally done with the update and the phone rebooted. Fortunately the updater reminds you to backup your device several times before it actually takes you through the update process to 11.2.009, but I did not require a backup since this is not my primary phone. So what has changed with the latest firmware?
So far just a few more options here and there, but I am noticing the overall speed of the phone is moving a little faster and for some reason now I am keeping a better T-mobile signal. I will keep track of any real changes I see throughout the week and report back in a few days with any life changing effects of the N95-3 11.2.009 firmware update.
