As always the Mobile World Congress 2008 is a host to the latest and greatest the cell phone industry has to offer. This year will be no different and the announcements have been rolling in non-stop. Opera has announced on their website that they will be unveiling the new Opera Mobile 9.5 Browser which seems like perfect timing especially with Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrading the Internet Explorer Browser. However in the minds of most Windows Mobile users, Opera currently maintains the title as the best mobile browser with the exception of possibly Sky Fire.
The key ingredients for the Opera Mobile 9.5 browser are Web 2.0-enabled, Widget-ready and Flash support. Sound good? You can expect to see some hands-on video as well as additional details next week as the Mobile World Congress 2008 hits Barcelona, but until then here are some additional features found on Opera Mobile 9.5:
- Intuitive user interface
- Tabbed browsing
- Improved text wrap
- Page overview, zooming and panning
- Landscape mode
- Save Web page for future offline access
- Call phone number from Web page
- Send link as SMS/MMS
- Send image as SMS/MMS
- Small Screen Rendering™
- Password manager
- Web address input auto-completion
- History and bookmarks
- Copy text
- Opera Widgets
