Words are not always capable of expressing the beauty of a cell phone release and that is exactly the case with the official announcement of the N96 by Nokia this morning. The N96 specifications that were leaked by an angry German programmer seemed to be spot on in both accuracy and timing. Now for the refresher course:

Now the most important piece of information, release date. Expect to see retailers receiving stocks of the Nokia N96 in Q3 2008 so get patient and await greatness. The only concern I have with the Nokia N96 is they went back to the same battery that the Nokia 95-1 suffered from in its initial release. The 950 mAh battery will more than likely deliver insufficient battery life especially with a 2.8 inch screen and the unstoppable desire to play with the phone in your pocket. Hopefully we see a battery capacity upgrade in the US Nokia 96 release.
