Not to be outdone by AT&T’s recent pink and lavender launches for Valentine’s Day, Sprint has gone ahead and announced the new LG green Rumor. Besides the sharp green color, the LG Rumor will also be sold in very environmentally friendly packaging which is a first for LG. Approximately 70% of the packaging will be sourced from post-consumer waste in an effort to stay friendly as well as a pre-paid return envelope for recycling your old handset through Project Connect. We really like Project Connect and the Internet Safety classes they fund with the proceeds from the recycled handsets so we are giving this release a solid nod of approval.
We hope that the green LG Rumor will come equipped with the firmware update that was released to fix a few issues with the initial LG Rumor launch. If you have considered purchasing the LG Rumor, but were hesitant due to the initial bugs there should be comfort in knowing that the existing updates are compatible with the green LG Rumor.
