Woshi over [at] Howardforums has come through with the first solid pictures of the upcoming Samsung Glyde for Verizon Wireless. These pictures are simply beautiful and we can’t emphasize enough how impressed we are by Woshi’s find. The most important piece of information that we have gathered is that the Samsung Glyde includes a FULL HTML BROWSER! Previously, the documentation hinted at a WAP browser which you traditionally see on your run-of-the-mill flip phones.
This will definitely be the gem in Verizon’s bag with the exception of the downgraded 2.0MP camera. We are really excited about this unit since neither AT&T or T-mobile USA offer the Samsung F700 or any of the hottest Samsung handsets available in Europe/Asia. As you might recall, the Samsung Glyde was previously the Samsung U940, but changed it’s name to go along with the new naming structure issued by Verizon Wireless. A release date has not been confirmed for the Samsung Glyde, but we will keep you posted about any news that hits the net.
