LG Planning Smartphone Announcement

It seems that LG is growing a liking for Windows Mobile and at a press event in Singapore, a LG representative told Cnet that they would be releasing a second smartphone device by year’s end.  The press event was held to show off the LG KS20 touchscreen cellphone (smartphone) which currently runs the Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.0 OS.  The LG Ks20 will remind you of the LG Prada, but clearly the OS is the big difference here and the main reason for that is that LG only recently gained a Windows Mobile license.  With their new license to release Windows Mobile devices, the followup device to the LG KS20 should be a very promising release and hopefully will pack the power of th 5megapixel camera from the LG Viewty (recently released in Pink).  The current speculation is that the new device from LG will be running either Windows Mobile 6.1 or Microsoft’s future creation (Windows Mobile 7), but this will all be dependent on the actual release date of the device.
