Earlier today we brought some news on the upcoming releases by Verizon Wireless this year 2008. Now we just got some hot pictures to add to the excitement starting with the LG Env 2 (VX 9100). Now originally when the LG Voyager came out it seemed to us that this would be the next generation of the LG Env, but unfortunately that was not the case and LG decided to correct us in our premature thinking. The official update to the LG Env is the VX 9100 which currently does not have an official name, but we will continue to refer to the device as the LG Env 2.
The second device to be pictured is the Motorola W755, which will bring another level of standard flip phones to the carrier’s offerings. Unfortunately we are simply not impressed by the Motorola W755, but if you are on a tight budget and you are going to be switching to Verizon Wireless in the upcoming months this device might be free with 2 year commitment, so it is definitely worth a look.

I just got the env2 yesterday and I absolutely love it so far. It is so much easier to use the qwerty keyboard since I have small hands. I would totally recomend this phone.
Tia 05.05.08 at 1:51 pm
Whats the point of that? I think it’s stupid. The Voyager was the next part.
Nathan 05.08.08 at 7:45 am

I have had the env 2 for around a month, and I haven’t had any problems so far, it has been great. people are saying that it isn’t as good as the env but it is way better, its much shorter and thinner, so it fits in your pocket much easier. one of the coolest features is that you can have a slideshow as your backgound, and I know it isn’t a big deal, but its way cool.
The env 2 also gets really good service in remote areas… and the buttons on the front are much bigger, so it is easier to type on the front, and the qwerty keyboard buttons are also more spread out than the buttons on the env

I agree with BABYYYY and Ross.
WARNING!!! OPINION!!!
The original enV is better. LOOK AT THE enV 2’s OUTER SCREEN! wtf? plus, it doesn’t have all 4 direcion keys on front. enV original is best.
Plus, it is basically the same except for the two things above. I rest my case
enV original PWNS!!!!!
BabiGirli 05.24.08 at 7:33 pm
So.. i def agree with anyone who doesn’t like this phone. My personal opinion.. WHAT’S THE POINT AFTER THE VOYAGER??? i have the voyager & i LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. the original enV is still so much better than this little thing! i don’t know why verizon would make this, the screen is like MADD small. woo hoo it comes in pinkish-redish.. & the original enV doesn’t! they should’ve just made more enV colors. it woulda been better..
Trey Mason is right, enV is def better.. but.. VOYAGER BEATS ALL. <3
Emilynn. 05.24.08 at 11:29 pm
I think that this is a lot cuter.
christina 05.25.08 at 11:19 pm
i have the env2 and its amazing the keyboard is perfect and its small and isnt bulky so you can fit it anywhere…im so glad i waited for it to come out instead of getting the voyager
for those of you who keep on asking why verizon came out with the env2 after the voyager…maybe the voyager wasn’t doing as great as everyone thought it was when it came to sales..i should know i work at a verizon store

Gumby 06.12.08 at 8:32 pm
I just got the env2 and i think it destroys the origional! Sure the Voyager is probably better, but you are paying over twice as much money! of course its going to be better! If you just want a phone with a QWERTY that is AMAZING and wont cost a boatload, this is the best one!!!
Jordan 06.15.08 at 9:47 am
I think LG made some bad choices with the design of the enV2. Somebody mentioned that it only has 2 of the 4 directional buttons.. the reason is because on the external display, you don’t scroll left or right. You scroll up or down on the menu, and it only shows 2 lines at a time. For real, wtf LG? The keys… are huge. They could’ve EASILY given it a larger external screen and normal sized keys, which would have made it much more appealing. Yes, it’s basically the twin of the Voyager (which I have) as far as the inside goes, and for $99 online, it’s a great deal. I love the Voyager but, don’t get me wrong, the touch buttons can be annoying at times when you touch one button and it presses another across the screen… even after you’ve calibrated it numerous times. If they hadn’t given the enV2 a ridiculous external layout, I’d seriously consider switching to it from the Voyager.

I just got the EnV 2 and I love it! The color (maroon) is AMAZING! Sure, the front screen is kinda teeny but you know if you bought this phone you probably bought it for the texting so who cares! I love the QWERTY keyboard its very useful because i text tonz! I’m so glad they changed the look of it from the original EnV, that thing was hideous! the ugliest phone i’ve ever seen!!!!!!!! and it was heavy and huge. I love the EnV 2 its AMAZING! <3 Kate

okay so i have this phone and i love it soo much. i had the iphone and it was like the worst phone ever. so i switched to verizon and got the first env it was good but i thought it was kinda ugly. then the voyager came out so i got that phone. i liked it alot and had it for a while until the env2 came out. i got it and i love itttt. its soo cute and easy to text on.
it fits right in my pocket cause it is way smaller than any of the other phones i had and it is soo easy to text on.
and for everyone that is bitter about it not having a flash, it has night mode. night mode it jsut as good as flash if not better!
i really reccomend getting this phone, i love it!

i am12 and i am going 2 get the env 2, my sister has it and i text my friends on her phone all tthe time, but im not sue whether to get the oringinal or the 2nd one. any advice!!!
Holly 07.14.08 at 9:35 pm
I just got the EnV 2 in maroon and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I don’t know what everyone’s beef with the tiny front screen is… just open it up. Plus it’s so darn cute I think it’s worth a smaller screen, and I like the bigger buttons. I kind of wish there were more than two colors, but the maroon works for me. And the Voyager seemed to have more features than I wanted, I’m not a touch screen fan, and the EnV 2 was cheaper.
I never had the original EnV, but in my opinion the new one is way cuter, and I really didn’t like the tiny buttons and bigger screen, rather than smaller screen and bigger buttons. I would’ve opened it up anyway, and the bigger buttons are handy for dialing. Plus they look cool… all curvy.
I also love the camera, how you can open it up and it’s almost like a real one.
Anyway, I totally have nothing but good things to say about this phone. I wouldn’t break my first EnV to get it, but if you’re ready to upgrade I would definitely recomend it.
LINNNNNNNEAAAAAAA 07.16.08 at 3:19 pm
omgggg i’m getting it in less than a month and i’m psyched (:
Loren 07.16.08 at 4:03 pm
i personally that the env2 is way more sexy looking than the old one
the old one kinda looked like a brick
reggie 07.17.08 at 9:11 am
this is phone is even better then the voyager because on the front of the voyager its a touch screen so wats the point of ruining the front with slimy hand marks the enV 2 is the BEST PHONE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tee 07.22.08 at 10:35 pm
Env 2 is the best phone ever. The voyager looks like a big space ship.
Sara 07.23.08 at 10:08 pm
Okay personally, I really want the EnV 2 or the Voyager, one of the two, but I am really turned off by the touch screen. If you don’t like the touch screen but you want that style with the Qwerty key board I think this will be great, I cant wait to get it.
Starr 08.03.08 at 3:46 pm
This is the phone I have picked out.
But have two questions:
1) Since I have always had a flip style phone I fear of making unwanted calls when the phone is in my book bag or front pocket. Is it easy to lock and unlock from the out side so that it does call out on its own
2) On my current phone I usually have the phone off when in class or out at a party but I like to see ‘who’ the picture of who is calling by the pictures I have assigned that pops up on the front. Can this phone do that too? Is it really small or distorted?
I have searched and searched on line and can not find answers to these 2 questions.
I hope these questions make sense. Thanks a bunch.

env 2 owner 08.18.08 at 3:09 pm
i have had the env 2 for about a month and i like it…….for all you people that say it is ugly and the first one is way better………..well it is not…and plus verizon doesnt even make the old envs any more so why even botherr and say to get the first env because you cant…..this env is so much better we switched to verizon just so we could the the new env 2 and who cares if the front screen is small who does any thing on the front of their phone right…nobody does…………the inside is great and you can change themes and cool stuff like the so you should get the env 2…………go and get it right now
Anna 08.18.08 at 7:34 pm
this is the best phone omg my friend has one and it is like so cool i want one so bad and im like mom get me one now
Amanda 08.19.08 at 1:28 pm
Starr,
It’s easy to lock the phone so that you don’t make unwanted calls. Holding down the zero key activates keyguard mode. After hitting a key with keyguard mode on, you need to quickly hit the “OK” button to allow access to the phones functions. This works well for me and I’m assuming it would for you as well. Of course you can also go into security and set up a lock code if security is what you are looking for, but to avoid accidently pressing keys keyguard works just fine.
As far as the caller ID picture goes, this phone can do that as well. The pictures are not distorted but they are small. The phone does not stretch the picture across the entire front screen, it just uses the left half of the screen and a square picture. Although the picture is small I don’t ahve any trouble seeing who is calling when I look.

i had the env 2 when i was in america for 2 months and it was great and i didnt have any problems..the keypad is much easier to use then the en V..it is much easier to text..but im back in ireland now and wondering if i can get it over here because it was so good.?
Rick 09.03.08 at 4:34 pm
This phone is junk. after 2 months the OK button on the fornt keypad stopped working and sumtimes the numbers dont work. This phone is cheaply made and i would reccomend dotn waste ur money
Dave 10.26.08 at 6:01 am
I’ve had the Env2 for a while now and love it. The only problem that I’ve had with it is that I can’t find out how to set the time on the phone in any of the menus. Comparing the Env2 to the Voyager is kind of a stale mate. They are two different phones. Yea, where the Voyager has the “cool” touch screen features, it lacks in being “pocket friendly”. However, both phones are very Bitpim friendly. A friend of mine has the Voyager, and we have compared both phones side by side. different features comparative, but very “price” different too. Both are very text friendly and very useful. Biggest difference comes down to price and size….not whether one phone is better than the other.

I just got this phone two days ago, and I am in love with it. It is definetly by far the best phone I have ever owned. I think its a really cute phone. All of the people saying it sucks cause of the front screen should actually pick it up at the store and play around with it a little. So the front screen is small, theres a big one on the inside! Just open it up. I personally like the big keys on the front, they are very nice looking. The QWERTY keyboard is also nicely sized, and not all small and cramped like some phone keyboards I know of. For all of you who say you’ll break your old enV or *gasp* your iphone, should probably reconsider. If you’re ready for an upgrade from the old enV, definetly get this phone, but your iPhone? You’d break that to get a 99 dollar phone?Verizon Wireless: 1234567890@vzwpix.com

sorry about that last part, that was an accident
