The LG Prada is a solid device if you are looking for an alternative to the Apple iPhone, but the big limitation for those of us on CDMA networks here in the US is that there is no iPhone or LG Prada available on our carriers. Sure there is the HTC Touch, but Windows Mobile is not for everyone and the biggest advantage of the iPhone is a smooth interface with excellent response.
Verizon Wireless has decided to make a LG Prada available for their CDMA network which will compete directly with AT&T’s Prada-like LG Vu. The Verizon Wireless LG VX9700 will pack a new innovative menu, 3.2 megapixel camera, micro USB, microSDHC support and an on-screen QWERTY keyboard for text entry. We have seen what LG can do with the onscreen keyboard simply by trying out the LG Voyager at your local Verizon Wireless Store, but we can expect a superior performance boost in the LG VX9700.

Expected release date on the Verizon Wireless LG VX9700 is set for April, but with the stiff competition between AT&T and Verizon Wireless we might see the LG Prada-inspired VX9700 hit retail channels earlier than expected. In either case we will keep you posted.

At the time the device name was unknown, so most of us called it the Prada because of the design similarities. You are right though it is the LG Dare.
