iTunes “all you can eat” Unlimited Downloads

Tired of paying per song or per album for the latest mp3s off iTunes? Yes, so are we.  With Nokia launching it’s “come with music” deal with Universal Music last December which provides unlimited music downloads, Apple is looking to join the trend.  Unfortunately things might sound good to be true with this option from Apple as their business model would give customers access to the entire iTunes music library, but charge a premium for its iPod and iPhone.  This is not exactly the way we had envisioned an unlimited download service and we would much rather prefer to have a flat fee Netflix-style all you can eat option that we could take advantage of with our computers as well as portable music players.  It will be interesting to see if a variant business model makes way for the video portion of iTunes as well.  We will keep you posted on the details as the story breaks.
