A Motorola promo video was leaked on the Internet a few weeks back and the rumors starting flying around the net, speculating model numbers and release dates. Thanks to Digitimes, we now have some additional details and much more concrete evidence on these 3 mysterious devices: Motorola ZN5, Ming 2 A1600 and Moto Q10. The first device to be released by Motorola is the ZN5 which breaks into the 5 megapixel camera phone category and will be stiff competition for Kodak’s 5 megapixel cameraphone.
The second device is the Ming 2 A1600 which has very little information other than the device name. The third device is the next generation of the very successful Motorola Q; Moto Q10. As you can expect these are all GSM based handsets and we should hear exact details direct from Motorola at the upcoming CTIA convention in Las Vegas. We can now add these 3 devices to the Motorola Z9, Z10 and Rokr E8 handsets which have already been confirmed.
With all the recent shake ups over at Motorola it is nice to see that their device pipeline actually has a solid handset or two which might make a dent in their failing handset division. Whether or not they can release another device with the success of the Motorola RAZR is slim, but we can’t count out a manufacturing legend no matter how impressed we are by other devices and dominant market shares.
