The LG Viewty is a sweet device packing a 5.1 Megapixel shooter, 3.6 Mbps HSDPA connectivity, 100MB of internal memory, 400×240 px touchscreen and a microSD slot. What really makes this 5.1 Megapixel camera phone so exciting is that it packs the Xenon flash found on the Nokia N82, but brings a new level of 120 fps video recording capability. The LG Viewty as we have known it has been referred to as the LG KU990, but now it seems there will be variant models and one specifically for EDGE only networks like T-Mobile USA.

The LG KE990 is a variant of the LG Viewty (LG KU990) which has all of the same features mentioned above with the exception of HSDPA support and instead packs GPRS/EDGE, dual band (850/900 Mhz) support . In the LG lineup, the first two letters typically define the network support, KU is reserved for 3G UTMS/HSDPA phones while KE notates EDGE data support.
To add some icing to the cake here for T-Mobile USA customers, the FCC approval documents are available for the LG KE990 which defines two other editions: LG KE990c and LG KE990d. These two additional models will be heading towards China where EDGE only networks still remain, but the second edition has an unknown destination.
A 5 Megapixel camera phone will be a very hot item for T-Mobile so stay tuned for release dates and in the meantime you can take a look at the leaked LG roadmap and the FCC documents bringing all the glory to the LG KE990 (Viewty).

So much for this article…..
LG is the best brand (IMO) for cell phones…..yet my carrier T-Mobile doesn’t have ‘em.
Sucks for me.
I own a KE990 and this phone is a bad copy of the iphone. I would definitely not buy this phone again. The internet speed is a joke. There are some real strange behaviors that I still don’t understand after 4 months… like I can connect trough the cable and transfer files that are stored in the memory card but a I cant do that trough Bluetooth! Don’t waste your money buying this phone and after a few months go and buy an iPhone… get the real one.
it’s Video Recording is Great . But it’s Still Camera Needs professional settings. e.g if you set the “White Balance” to “AUTO” it has no ideal Quality . set it to incandescent or sunny to take better photos . as the ISO setting . use correct items.
the phone handling is too bad ! . it’s not ergonomic at all !
I purchased a LG Viewty and all the functions are great. The camera is the great. The clarity on the shots are kodak clear no matter when and where you are. The shot is always perfect! I just need to get the damn internet service up and running!
so does t-mobile have them can you purchase the LG Viewty here in the USA specifically in California the bay area
