T-Mobile Motorola Z10 for 3G Network Launch?

We are almost tired of hearing about T-Mobile USA and their 3G network scheduled to launch, soon to be launch, never going to be launched news.  The only exception to our new rule is that a Motorola Z10 is in the works to sport T-Mobile USA’s 3G flavor in Q2 or Q3 of this year.  Granted, the information comes from a tipster over at Howardforums, but the 1700Mhz band is present on the Z10 so the probability that we will see the Z10 launch in tandem with T-Mobile’s official 3G announcement is highly likely.

In case your memory is less than perfect, the Z10 is powered by UIQ and contains a decent set of features:

  • 109 x 15.5 x 16.5 mm, 115 grams
  • 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with flash (LED)
  • 2.2 inch QVGA display (320×240) 16m colors TFT
  • 30fps video capture @ 16 million colors
  • microSD slot compatible with SDHC 32GB cards
  • 5 hours of 3G talk time, 5 hours of video playback, 12 hours of music playback

The Motorola Z10 for T-Mobile is looking to be a decent device, but the big question is how much longer can we put up with the delays on the 3G network launch.  Hopefully the news that Verizon will not have its 4G LTE network up and running until 2012 have not given T-Mobile executives too much comfort room.
