Walt Mossberg Says 3G iPhone in less than 60 days

by Nick Marshall on April 5th, 2008 at 3:22 pm

If the dwindling iPhone supply in the US and T-Mobile Germany’s iPhone fire sale pricing were not enough, Walt Mossberg brings more fuel to the 3G iPhone Rumor pile. We now have an expected 3G iPhone launch date “in the next 60 days”, but what makes this rumor so much more concrete than the dozens of others floating on the net? Well for starters, Mossberg was one of the few people to actually get his hands on the iPhone before it’s official release which was an accomplishment in itself. Mossberg is also the Co-Executive Editor of All Thing Digital and of course the authority for tech on the Wall Street Journal. Previously we were expecting the launch of the iPhone to hit sometime in June since the WWDC runs from June 9 - 13th this year, but 60 days would place the 3G iPhone launch just before the conference. In any case, the actual date is not that big of an issue compared to confirmation that the 3G iPhone is coming and we will see it very soon. Now all we need is a device to keep us occupied until June and wait with the rest of the 3G iPhone deprived world.

(oh in case you don’t want to watch the entire video, the money shot comes in at 6:53)
