While the US waits for Sprint’s Instinct to launch, Vodafone has taken the initiative and launched a similar device recently showcased back in January; say hello to the Samsung SGH-F490. Packing a 3.2″ inch display with Samsung’s VibeTonz Technology is only the start for this 5 megapixel full touchscreen device powered by the Croix user interface. The F490 supports video capture, music playback, A2DP stereo Bluetooth support, HTML browsing and of course UMTS/HSDPA connectivity. Samsung even managed to squeeze in GSM/EDGE support for those unlucky times when 3.5G network access is not possible and includes a 1GB memory stick. The F490 is available today over at Vodafone’s website:

- Dimensions: 115 x 53.5 x 11.8 mm
- Weight: 102g
- Standby Time: Up to 220 hours
- Talk Time: Up to 360 mins
