If you have been waiting on picking up a carrier subsidized HTC Shift or HTC P6500 for Orange UK, prepare yourself. Both devices are listed as “coming soon” on the company’s website (here).Â

As we mentioned in the past, the HTC Shift is the long awaited Ultra Mobile PC packing a monster form factor, but with a full version of Windows Vista, 3G support and a laptop-quality QWERTY keyboard the complaints here are limited. At 800 grams and 190mm x 30mm x 135 mm, the HTC Shift is anything but pocket-sized and fills the niche between laptops and Pocket PCs.
The HTC P6500 on the other hand is the 3G HSDPA capable Windows Mobile powerhouse which fits nicely in your suit or pants pocket. With a 3 megapixel camera and autofocus, the quality of pictures are similar to the HTC Kaiser (Tilt, AT&T 8925). We are really pleased with the 1GB of internal memory (ROM), but we were really hoping on Windows Mobile 6.1 out of the box here since the device is still “coming soon”.
Hop on over to Orange UK’s website to stay up to date on the official releases for the HTC P6500 and the HTC Shift via email alerts. Or as usual you can wait for the announcement on the website you love to hate: Cellfanatic.com
