Vodafone 9100 series and AT&T 9000 Series Blackberry Details

BlackBerry theme files can be an interesting indicator of upcoming device launches and this is exactly the case for the BlackBerry 9100 series which was spotted a few days ago. A patient contributor to the BGR, Jibi, spotted both the reference to the 9000 series we have seen in pictures and leaked specs as well as an unheard of 9100 series device. There are two important references in the BlackBerry.alx file regarding the two upcoming devices; Vodafone is mentioned in the radio information for the 9100 series and AT&T is mentioned in the radio information for the 9000 series.

Vodafone and AT&T BlackBerry 9100 Series

Based upon this find it seems that we will see a series of 9000 series devices making launches on various carriers with possible differences in specifications and capabilities. What we can confirm at this point is both the 9000 series and 9100 series devices will bring 3G UMTS/HSDPA support to Europe and the US which is both long overdue and greatly appreciated. One final tidbit of information which confirms our earlier reports is that the 9000 series devices will sport 480 x 320 resolution and AT&T’s Wi-Fi hotspots.
