AT&T Brings a New Flavor of Pearl

by Nick Marshall

AT&T launches the BlackBerry Pearl 8110 in Red and Titanium

You asked for it, they deliver it. That’s the motto over at AT&T Wireless these days as they have officially released the GPS-equipped BlackBerry Pearl 8110. With a 20-key SureType keypad and the always reliable (recently not-so-reliable) BlackBerry Internet Service/BES for the email addicts and business types, the Pearl 8110 will keep a solid mix of productivity and style. With GPS, the 8110 moves closer to the features seen on the AT&T BlackBerry Curve, with a 2.0 mega-pixel camera, microSD slot and 3.5mm headphone jack. A quad-band GSM radio supporting 850/900/1800/1900MHz keeps global travelers satisfied, but we can’t help but wish for 3G HSDPA support. We are going to sit on the sidelines for this one especially with the current refurbished deals over at AT&T which put a BlackBerry Curve in your hands for free with a 2yr contract renewal.

The RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8110 is available in stores today in either Red or Titanium for $149.99 on a 2 year contract (after rebates).
