Nokia 6600 fold, slide and 3600 slide

Nokia has returned to the mid-range phone announcements today with 3 new handsets set to be released in July: Nokia 6600 Fold, 6600 Slide and 3600 Slide. The 6600 Fold is a 3G flip phone with a 2.13″ OLED display and 2.0 mega-pixel camera. Packing a 2 LED flash and high-speed Internet, the 6600 Fold is designed to work seamlessly with Yahoo! Go and Flickr in an effort to enhance social networking. Retail Price: 275 Euro

The Nokia 6600 Slide brings an intuitive feature by allowing the user to tap the phone twice to display the time, snoozes, alerts and silence or rejects incoming phone calls. Beyond the double tapping is the 3.2 mega-pixel camera and 2.2″ QVGA display to enchance the online experience. While the 6600 Slide does not have built in GPS, the Nokia Bluetooth GPS Module LD-4W is a slim and lightweight option that can be paired easily with the Slide. Retail Price: 250 Euro

The last of the 3 handsets announced today is the Nokia 3600 Slide which also delivers a 3.2 mega-pixel camera, but this time it brings autofocus and 2 LED flash to the mix. Also taking things to the next level, the 3600 Slide has TV-Out capabilities and pairs easily wit hthe LD-4W Bluetooth GPS module to deliver turn by turn directions. Retail Price: 175 Euro

All three of these handsets, Nokia 6600 Fold, 6600 Slide and 3600 Slide, are priced to sell in the mid-range market with unique features that distinguish the devices between each other. With a July release date and affordable pricing, all three handsets should do well in the market, but our personal opinion is stick with the Nokia Classic until the “Tube” releases later this year.
