Don’t let the model number fool you, the L852i is still the same LG Prada KE850 as before, but this time with a new twist: 7.2 HSDPA connectivity (for Japan). The details on the follow up to the very successful LG Prada (Prada 2) are scare and LG seems to be focusing on updating the existing model to stay busy in the meantime. Since Japan happens to be the most advanced cellular market in the world, the LG Prada K852i will be partnered up with NTT DoCoMo in an effort to support the fastest data on the device LG believes is the most advanced of its kind.

Japan brings 7.2 HSDPA LG Prada L852i

As far as the changes go on the LG Prada L852i over the KE850, you will notice that the phone looks unchanged and the 2 megapixel camera, 3-inch 240 x 400 touchscreen display and microSD memory slot are all reamining the same.  The only changes in this unit are the support for 7.2 Mbps HSDPA connectivity and a front facing camera which offers .3 megapixel resolution for video calls.  While LG believes the L852i Prada is revolutionary, we are still considering this recycled, but we will remain envious of the 7.2 Mbps data speeds in Japan until At&t can play catch up.
