T-mobile USA has had a tough time launching their 3g data network, but it seems cell phone launch troubles are on their way as well. Today the carrier announced that it would be cancelling the Motorola Z6w due to testing issues and added that the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music and Nokia 5610 Xpress Music would be delayed until later this year.
Originally the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music was scheduled to go on sale this month, but it will be delayed until early June to work out the kinks. The Nokia 5610 Xpress Music will also see a delayed launch later in July assuming that all the testing works out and the carrier still feels that both devices will be successful on their newly turned 3g network. While neither device supports the 1700MHz UMTS 3g band according to our current information, the original Nokia Xpress Music offerings were very successful at T-mobile.

Keep in mind that until we see the spec sheet, that 3G 1700MHz AWS spectrum T-mobile took forever to launch could be a major factor in the delayed release of the Nokia 5310 and 5610 Xpress Music phones. Our intuition tells us that T-mobile is very self conscious about launching 3g devices with the blind eye they are turning to their current offerings which support 3g data speeds.
