If the NES, PSX and Super Nintendo emulators are not satisfying your fix for mobile gaming on your iPhone, the new Turbografx iPhone emulator should do the trick.  Back in 1987, the PC-engine Turbografx, was sold in the United States as TurboGrafx as a magical super-console.  While this super-console was not coming the the US, we became envious of the best home rendition of Street Fighters, named Fighting Street, and endless amounts of shoot-em up games that would play with our hearts.

Turbografx iPhone emulator launches

While the NES had to fill our US void, 20 years later we can finally get our fix with our trusty iPhone and the latest emulator to hit the OS.  Take a peek at the video below for a positive sign for things to come for Apple iPhone gaming and hopefully the answer to our 20 year wait for Turbografx gaming.

While At&t is completing their HSUPA network upgrade which will bring their services up to full HSPA, South Africa’s Vodacom is joining in on the fun.  Today, Vodacom announced that they would be launching South Africa’s first High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) service to compliment its HSDPA offerings.  With the new upgrade, South African cell phone users on Vodacom will be able to download at up to 3.6 Mbps and upload at 1.4 Mbps.  While actual speeds vary, the sheer fact that HSUPA service will be available is a sign of great things to come for our South African brothers.  Now onto the important information, price.  For customers who have opted to use HSDPA service for a fixed fee of R49.00, they will automatically receive the HSUPA service at no additional charge.  Vodacom Group’s CEO Alan Knott-Craig said today that,

“Vodacom continues to set the pace in wireless broadband technology in South Africa. With HSUPA, our customers will now have access to the fastest down- and upload speeds available, offering them a true broadband experience.”
