In a perfect iPhone gamer world, the iPhone would have the tactical feedback of a physical keyboard, equipped with buttons and ready to play the latest games and emulators.  Thanks to iControlPad it looks like iPhone gamers have found a solution that brings PSP-style gaming to Apple’s iPhone.  The solution is very clever and only requires that you slide in your iPhone to the outer casing shell which connects to the iPhone’s serial port to deliver the perfect gaming environment.  What really makes this device worthwhile is that review units have already been sent out to the developers of all the leading iPhone emulators, so your chances of playing DOOM and Super Mario Bros. without using a touchscreen may soon be over.  A full scale launch and public availability of the iControlPad are in the works, but for the meantime it will remain a prototype while developers ensure compatibility across their emulators in order to deliver the best possible iPhone gaming experience.  Now all we need is the 3g iPhone and a iControlPad and we are set, but who are we kidding, the Blackberry Bold and HTC Diamond are just too tempting to resist.

At&t smartphone insurance skips iPhone

At&t has finally decided that those of us willing to spend the extra coin on a high-end smartphone deserve some insurance protection options.  After watching our own At&t Tilt suffer a fall from an office table and never to return to form again, we are pleased to announce that the days of shelling out another [...]

India Videocon set to buy Motorola’s Handset Division?

Let’s start with a little background and then move forward to the rumors on the potential purchase of the Motorola Handset Division.  For starters, anyone paying attention over the past year has realized that Motorola’s cell phones have been on a downward spiral with head executives resigning left and right with mediocre phones and design [...]

LG VX8610 Decoy For Verizon Wireless

Remember that cell phone hitting Verizon Wireless with the built-in Bluetooth headset?  Well Verizon has decided to move forward and the Verizon VX8610 has now become the Verizon Decoy.  While we are still skeptical on this built-in bluetooth headset actually staying put on the back of the phone, we admire LG’s initiative for design.  Personally [...]

Best Buy’s mobile department, Best Buy Mobile, will be getting a shiny new addition to their device offerings this weekend as the HTC Touch Dual will go on sale.  Saturday is D-day, and HTC fans should be biting at the bit to get their hands on HTC’s latest creation for the At&t’s 3g flavor.  While we wait for the HTC Diamond to hit sales channels for At&t, we can expect the HTC Touch Dual to fill that void for the time being, but with a little patients it might be worth your wait.  If you really can’t wait and you must have that keypad then you only need to hold your breath until tomorrow when you can purchase the HTC Touch Dual either on bestbuy.com or in store.  The Touch Dual is expected to be available for $549.99 unlocked, so whether your carrier is T-mobile USA or At&t you should have no problem throwing in your SIM card and be on your merry way.  Here’s a quick little refresher for the features and specs of the HTC Touch Dual:

HTC Diamond Launches in India without 3g support

Sorry folks, the HTC Diamond will not have HSDPA or HSUPA connectivity in India.  Undoubtedly we are still envious that the device is available and the lack of 3g support is the only strand of sanity keeping our jealous hearts from going absolutely mad.  While 3g support is not a necessity as we have seen from the [...]
