In the Wireless Industry, 2008 could best be described as the year of Unlimited Plans. Carrier after carrier denied then announced and finally embraced an unlimited plan of sorts for voice and some even with data and SMS/MMS. While local network options in California like Boost Mobile and MetroPCS offer unlimited calling for under $40/month, you are limited to a small portion of California Roaming. At the other end of the spectrum you have the complete unlimited package from Sprint which delivers everything and anything Unlimited and even covers you Blackberry usage as long as you only need Blackberry Internet Service.
T-mobile USA has decided to become the most pocket-friendly carrier in the unlimited Family plan game by offering a $49 add-on which will give 1 family member unlimited voice minutes along with unlimited SMS, MMS, IM. The catch is that the account holder must currently be using the $99 T-mobile Unlimited Plan in order to add additional family members for just $49/month. While spending $200/month for 3 family members to have unlimited minutes, SMS, MMS and IM on their cell phones might not entice many with the growing preference of email and SMS to communicate instead of voice minutes, we appreciate the option. The T-mobile unlimited family plan add-on is available today via T-mobile.com.
