Informant DJ Clue has just dropped off a set of pictures to BGR today showcasing the video recording feature on the Sidekick LX.  As we know an OTA update is beginning to launch this week for Sidekick LX owners which will add the ability to record and send video from your Sidekick LX and will also be pre-loaded on the Limited Edition Tony Hawk Sidekick.  From the looks of things, the 176 x 144 pixel video recording is not much to write home about, but hopefully this is just a shot from a MMS message.

It will be interesting to see how the video recording feature is accepted by the Hiptop community.  It has been a long time in the making and a very surprising addition in an OTA update.  Usually not much happens with these Sidekick updates, but what worries us is the lag of the existing camera application might be magnified when recording video, we shall see.
