Samsung Glyde Touchscreen Fix

It is no surprise that some users are resorting to do it yourself remedy to fix the touchscreen on the Verizon Samsung Glyde.  The real surprise is that Samsung is failing to acknowledge the problem and in effect forcing users to actually void their warranty in order to get the device to function as it should.  With some owners of the Glyde reporting that it takes up to 4 presses in order to get a text message to send, we need a fix, bad.  The latest ‘do it yourself remedy’ comes from our friends over at PhoneArena and involves using a few pieces of tape to modify the area surrounding the battery.  The theory is that by adding pressure to the battery’s contact points closer to the metal pins you will have a better electrical connection.

Keep in mind that adding tape to your battery does no void your warranty, so giving this a shot might be worth your while.  The screen should be slightly more responsive, although this fix does not completely resolve the issue, it is a step in the right direction.  The big questions left to answer is whether this is due to the touchscreen and the software or just the touchscreen, we’ll let Samsung reply to our email.
