The next generation in HTC GUI, TouchFLO 3D has been a big hit on the HTC Touch Diamond. While the US still awaits a quadband 3G release, our European and Asian friends have been enjoying the full capabilities of the device for a few weeks now. With the upgrade to a VGA resolution screen and the new TouchFLO 3D Interface, it was only a matter of time before performance issues began to surface. One thing to keep in mind is that TouchFLO 3D is not just a Today Screen Plugin, it is the future of the GUI for HTC and it will become an integral part of all HTC devices.
With the European HTC Touch Diamond launch we have some great news for those of you suffering from the laggy performance of the TouchFLO 3D interface. The latest release comes with a newer build ROM which has a much improved TouchFLO 3D version which is both faster and more responsive. As usual you can expect xda-developers and ppc geeks to unload the ROM if you must have it today, but otherwise HTC will be releasing the updated ROM on their website for existing HTC Touch Diamond owners.
