Codenamed the ‘Last Stand’, the Motorola ‘Alexander’ or most recently labeled ZN12 is a mysterious phone which Motorola hopes will come to save the human and mutant race in X-Men fashion. With the RAZR hybrids wearing thin, complete separation from the parent company and a financial outlook that could make Sprint giggle, the Motorola ZN12 could be the greatest comeback in cell phone history. According to the latest rumors, the handset is currently codenamed the ‘Last Stand’ and ‘Alexander’, but based on recent nomenclature the device should fit into the ZN series and formally become the Motorola ZN12.

According to BGR the Motorola ZN12 will have built-in GPS and could be a touchscreen. The expected release date is October and within the ranks of Motorola employees the project is called the ‘Dark Project’. There have also been talks that the video processing on the ZN12 would be taken care of by Nvidia. Since we have not seen any Motorola phones breaking into the 3.5 inch barrier, we are still assuming that the screen will top out at 2.8 inches. The last pieces of information on the ZN12 are the it will have either a 5 or 8 megapixel camera and a 16 million color screen.
