Device launches and delays go hand in hand, but according to the latest inside sources an all too familiar fate might be resurfacing for RIM’s latest creation. The BlackBerry Bold, also known as the 9000 Series, is the company’s attempt to revolutionize the BlackBerry OS and venture into the world of GSM 3G complete with HSDPA connectivity. While the device looks absolutely beautiful and we envy that famous celebrity already having a chance to own the device, the At&t launch does not look promising. Yesterday the rumors began surfacing that RIM has decided to push back the At&t launch until ‘at least mid-August’ due to software issues.

While we heard that battery issues could originally delay the BlackBerry Bold, the latest rumors are not very surprisingly. With the BlackBerry Bold making a private launch crusade across Canada in early July, it seems odd that At&t would not have a chance to join in on the fun. On a side note, this weekend RIM will be upgrading their BIS to version 2.5 which will enabled HTML email for those of you running OS 4.5. Until we hear some confirmation from RIM on the delays for At&t you can go ahead and file this one in the rumors bin.
