O2 issues Windows Mobile 6.1 update for XDA Stellar

by Nick Marshall

The XDA Stellar, O2’s version of the HTC TyTN II (At&t Tilt), has just received the latest treatment of Windows Mobile 6.1 goodness.   The only prerequisite to downloading the updated ROM is that you must enter in a few details which include the serial number of your device over on the XDA Software Updates website.  This is a small price to pay for native threaded SMS, zoomed web browsing and overall snappier device performance without having to go out and buy a new phone.

As usual with any ROM Update you will need to backup your data and make sure your device has at least a 50% charge before attempting to run the update.  After completing both of those steps, go ahead and hit the download link below for some Windows Mobile 6.1 action on your XDA Stellar.  On a side note if you are a At&t customer with the Tilt, your Windows Mobile 6.1 update is on its way shortly, expect a July release date.
