HTC Touch Pro Sets September 1st Release Date

UK website DeviceWire is now showing stock of the HTC Touch Pro will be available on September 1st.  With almost identical specs to the HTC Touch Diamond, the Touch Pro adds a full QWERTY keyboard for those that enjoy the option of the touchscreen, but need a physical keyboard to get down to business.  Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, 288MB of RAM, 3.2 megapixel camera, 802.11 WiFi, GPS and A-GPS round out the other features of this highly anticipated handset.  The real deal-breaker for fellow Americans will be the price tag which is now down to $930 USD and well out of the reach of most phone lovers.

The last phone that we recall hitting this price point was the Nokia E90 communicator, but we can’t imagine ourselves going back to spending over $1000 USD with overnight shipping for the HTC Touch Pro.  We will have to leave the September 1st launch to the Touch Pro die-hard fans willing to spend an extra 20% over the HTC Touch Diamond to have their physical QWERTY keyboard.
