Blue and Pink Samsung Blackjack IIs hit At&t

In proper his and hers fashion, At&t has released another set of color choices to the popular Samsung Blackjack II.  The two new colors, Romantic Pink and Ocean Blue, feature white fronts with either pink or blue decorative designs on the back.  These two new colors come just in time for the At&t Blackjack II Windows Mobile 6.1 update scheduled to be released later this month.

The technical features remain unchanged, Windows Mobile 6.0 standard comes pre-installed along with quadband GSM/EDGE/GPRS and triband 3G UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100MHz connectivity.  Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, 2.0 megapixel camera and a built-in GPS receiver have kept the Blackjack II at the top of At&t smartphone sales, but unfortunately these features remain unchanged on both the pink and blue Blackjack IIs.

With the addition of two new colors, At&t has decided to drop the price for the Blackjack II from $200 on a 2 year contract to a Centro-like $100 price point.  If you are currently ineligible to upgrade, both the pink and blue Blackjack II’s remain fixed at $350 retail so you might have to question the unsubsidized purchase with the iPhone 3G selling for only $50 more ($399/$499).  Also keep in mind that the Blackjack III is set to hit At&t in Q4 2008 and delivers a full touchscreen and 520+MHz of computing power.
