Sprint users ready for the next generation in the Sanyo Katana trilogy have been thrown a bone by the FCC. The latest revelation on the FCC website shows the upcoming Sanyo Katana Eclipse which ends any conflicting rumors of the device’s existence. With a recent Sprint roadmap leak, the Katana Eclipse is scheduled to be released on August 17th, but unfortunately the blurry picture and phone diagram leave few details on the device.

From the graphics it is clear that the Katana Eclipse will follow the LX design with a glossy front finish accompanied by 3 music keys. It will also be possible to use the navigation on the external screen even though in size it resembles the external screen found on the original RAZR. PC connectivity is also included as we can see from the USB to mini USB cable included in the device photo, but any other specifications are in complete question.

Look for the Sanyo Katana Eclipse to hit Sprint sales channels in mid-August or more specifically August 17th 2008. For more information and the full FCC details click here.
