HTC Touch Diamond hits the US via FCC (NAM)

With the recent ROM update enabling GSM 850MHz on the HTC Touch Diamond for non 3G data it was only a matter of time before the real deal hit the FCC.  Today we are happy to announce that the HTC Touch Diamond is landing in the US complete with HSDPA 3G connectivity (850 / 1900 MHz bands) with a obvious home set on At&t’s network.  Although early reports indicated that T-mobile USA would be getting the HTC Touch Diamond first, the lack of AWS 1700MHz band is a clear indicator that At&t’s 3G network is HTC’s first priority.  As it currently stands the only way T-mobile USA will see the HTC Touch Diamond will be in EDGE only form unless a second device makes its way through the FCC approval process with 1700MHz support.
