Nokia’s S60 platform will be getting a boost from Skyfire’s web browser according to latest news from Skyfire’s website. Â With a top-notch web browser, thanks to the webkit-based S60 browser, Nokia and all S60 users already enjoy a quality web browsing experience far superior to Windows Mobile users. Â Delivering a browser that will overpower the existing browser on the S60 platform will be an arduous task, but if any company could pull it off we have faith in Skyfire.

With the limited beta rollout for Windows Mobile users, Skyfire has gained momentum in popularity and recently received 13 million in funding.  Through the use of back end server support, Skyfire delivers a speedy and desktop-like web experience on even the smallest screen.  The beta program for the S60 version of Skyfire beta is currently open to all users, but that approval process can take some time and the volume of users accepted is limited.
