Morgan Freeman might have his hands on the Nokia 5800 XpressMedia (’Tube’), but fortunately others have had a chance to experiment with the first Nokia touchscreen cell phone. The S60 Touch UI has been a bit of a mystery after our first encounter with screenshots of the rather boring User Interface, but today we bring you live shots of the web browser. Thankfully this 16:9 aspect ratio screen does not disappoint and it looks like the rock solid S60 web browser is still intact.
Although you might notice the grey area in the upper left hand side of the picture is missing the flash media, you can expect the 5800 XpressMedia to be on par with the N Series browsing capabilities. The added bonus is a touchscreen which allows you to make use of the onscreen zooming feature and quick access to your browsing history. We do not think for one minute that the XpressMedia is lacking flash support, instead we hope you keep in mind that this is a prototype.
