While the rest of the world watches in envy, Singapore will be receiving their second version of the Samsung Omnia i900 but this time in White. To accompany the new white model (now available) Samsung has also released a firmware update specific to the region. At this time we are not sure if the Omnia updates can be used in other countries since the upgraded is only listed for Singapore. After installing the update, the Omnia should show that it is running software version i900DXHG4.
The i900DXHG4 software update should improve the following features of the Samsung Omnia i900
- overall faster device speed (responsiveness)
- haptic feedback is reduced to only application launches
- Samsung Today 1 plugin
- Smart Reader (business card scanner)
- Updated icons (charging and calculator) and skins
- orientation is better in G4
- more video settings
- new input like Samsung Panel
- End Key function now locks the devices
- Device Version: PDA – i900DXHG4/DXHG4 / PHONE – i900DXHG4

4.5 syncing softwares did nicely as did the modem cdma update. BUT error messages continued after 5 attempts to install DXHG4. SAID downloading 1, then error messages every time. any help on this. had to reboot each time it hung up. thanks.

For me, I can’t download the Samsung OMNIA Updater application. I keep getting incomplete file even after several tries. I gave up! Maybe I go to the Service Center for help.
