At&t picks up Sony Ericsson W760a after dropping the K850

by Nick Marshall

After the rumors of the Sony Ericsson K850i hitting At&t settled and At&t pulled the plug on the device launch we are happy to announce that SE will have a second shot on America’s biggest GSM network.  In an internal document leaked to CellPhoneSignal, the Sony Ericsson W760a has been confirmed for both a China (quadband EDGE) and US (HSDPA) launch.  At&t has been given the exclusive launch this time and the recent FCC approval of the W760a is simply icing on the cake.

What we can tell you about the Sony Ericsson W760a at this point is that it will come with a 3.2 megapixel camera, stereo bluetooth, built-in GPS reciever, MP3 player, stereo speakers, FM radio with RDS and a Motion Sensor.  No details have been leaked on pricing or release date, but we do not expect a long wait since the device has already been approved by the FCC.  It looks like At&t is securing all of the high-end devices these days in the GSM realm and the Sony Ericsson W760a should be no different.
