Starting today Verizon Wireless customers can pickup the Pink BlackBerry Curve on the company’s website or on August 15th in retail stores. The Pink BlackBerry Curve will be offered for $99.99 after a $70 mail in rebate with a new two year agreement. There is no extra charge for the new color, but Verizon Wireless has reminded us that you can also pick up the BlackBerry Pearl for $20 less if size is an issue.

The BlackBerry Curve is RIM’s (Research in Motion) slimmest full QWERTY BlackBerry to date, but those looking to pickup the device might want to think about the upcoming BlackBerry Bold 9000 launching in January 2009 on VZW. The Curve measures 4.2 x 2.4 x 0.6 inches and features both 1xRTT and EVDO Rev 0 data speeds. With a 2.0 megapixel camera with flash and 5x digital zoom, the Curve’s 65k colors and QVGA resolution deliver an excellent user experience. For comparison, the upcoming BlackBerry Bold 9000 will feature a 624MHz processor while the BlackBerry Curve runs at 312MHz so keep this in mind before making your purchase.
In the world of cell phones a month is a year and our recommendation is to hold out until Janruary if possible for the BlackBerry Bold 9000. But if you must have a pink phone then the Pink BlackBerry Curve is your meal ticket.
