It looks like Apple might be moving closer to hitting that 10 million iPhone 3G sales goal with the help of Best Buy. USA Today is reporting that the largest electronics retailer in the US, Best Buy, will begin selling the iPhone 3G in store starting September 7th 2008. Currently Apple has reported to have sold over 1 million iPhone 3Gs after just the first few days, but estimates place the total number sold closer to the 3 million mark.

The only issue facing Apple’s sales goals has supply or the lack thereof. With iPhone 3G lines still ramping around city blocks and many stores selling out in the early morning over a month after the release date, the question becomes will Best Buy have sufficient inventory? Shawn Score, president of Best Buy’s mobile division, says, “We think we’ll have a good supply for our customers.”
