The guys over at Omio have gone ahead and done what we all wanted, a text message battle between the iPhone 3G and the upcoming HTC Touch Pro.  With the benefit of a physical keyboard it comes as little surprise that the iPhone 3G lost this battle, but keep in mind they haven’t lost the war.  In reality it depends on your proficiency as an end user since touch screen typing is a relatively new adventure.  The real interesting battle would be using users who are coming from standard T9 texting flip phones and having their first venture into the world of QWERTY keyboards be the iPhone 3G and HTC Touch Pro.  In any event the video is worth a watch and quite possibly the first of its kind.
