Nokia will be announcing two new devices for the N Series (our favorite) on August 25th, but the big question is which two devices. While we do not have an official announcement from Nokia on this one, speculation has begun stirring around the Internet. The UnwiredView is reporting that the two devices in question are the Nokia N79 and N85 and they have some solid findings to agree with their speculation.
First, the N85 and N79 have already shown their face in FCC filings and no other Nokia devices have been leaked out recently with the exception of the Nokia ‘Tube’ (Dark Knight, Morgan Freeman…). Since the ‘Tube’, also known as the XpressMusic 5800, is not part of the N range we can immediately rule out that device.
While we hate the idea of waiting for August 25th to have a definite answer, Nokia has also announced that there will be a special online pre-launch event (by invitation only) on August 18th. The invitations have already begun circulating across the Internet and it is certain that we will known the model numbers of the two devices in question by this time. As far as the August 25th official event goes, it will be taking place at 8AM UK time (3AM EST) and we can hardly wait.
