We’ve seen the product page on At&t’s website and we’ve signed up for release date notifications, but up until today all we heard was silence. It had been confirmed that At&t would have an exclusive launch of the BlackBerry Bold 9000 for a 6 month window, but we expected that window to start in August. Today At&t has given official word that the release date for the BlackBerry Bold will be mid-September which would put the 6 month exclusive window ending in February.
Although the Bold will be the first 3G GSM BlackBerry supporting HSDPA, CDMA subscribers on Sprint/Verizon/Alltel have been living the life of high-speed data on their BlackBerrys for quite some time. The big question for non-At&t subscribers is whether waiting it out until February will keep you interested when HTC will be launching the Touch Pro and Diamond beforehand. In any case, At&t will be the second North American carrier to release the BlackBerry Bold 9000, following Rogers Canada’s late-August launch.

That sucks I thought the 9000 was coming out 9-15-08. I’m getting tired of waiting ill go to sprint they had 3g for years at&t hurry up
I WANT MY BOLD!!! Please someone important tell me the release date already. F***. I’ve been waitng for months. I can’t stand looking at the Bold any longer and not having it. I’ve been thinking about buying some shit off of crackberry.com, that way when I have it, I got toys for it. LOL =D Hurry AT&T
We are in the same boat, the only bit of justice in the At&t Bold launch is that you and I both have At&t service. Since the Bold will launch as an At&t exclusive at least there will be a period where other subscribers can build in envy as we type away on our half VGA screens. The current consensus is set for an October 2nd launch, very disappointing at best but that is the most up-to-date information we have at the moment. The third party retailers will be able to place orders for the BB bold on September 24th so there is a possibility you can pick one up from an AT&T authorized retailer prior to the October 2nd launch, but it will cost you a pretty penny. Are you planning on buying the Bold out-right or under a contract extension?
How much with the Bold be priced at without a contract? Anybody know how much it is without a contract in either Germany or the UK?
