The iPhone 3G is spreading across the globe on pace for some record sales numbers, but what we haven’t seen much of is prepaid options. While most users prefer to opt for a discounted handset price, many of us like living without a contract and the freedom to jump ship from carriers when even the smallest wave breaks shore. Today we have received some news from O2 on their iPhone 3G prepaid plans.

O2 will sell the iPhone 3G for 350 EUR (8GB version) and 400 EUR (16GB version) on September 16th. This price includes unlimited browsing and Wi-Fi for the first 12 months and then users will be able to continue with the plan for 10 EUR per month. With Apple Stores, Carphone Warehouse Shops and O2 retail stores, the carrier is confident that it has sufficient stock to meet the demand.
