CDMA Samsung Omnia joins the At&t Omnia FCC style

by Nick Marshall

No official word from At&t, Verizon or Sprint, but the latest round of FCC filings has both a GSM and CDMA version of Samsung’s 5 megapixel Omnia.  We are not sure whether we will see the CDMA version hit Verizon or Sprint at this point, but our bet is that it will be Verizon’s answer for Sprint’s Instinct.  On the GSM front we have already heard unofficially that the device will be coming to At&t, but the lack of a 1700MHz band is a good indicator we will not see a launch on T-mobile USA.

CDMA Samsung Omnia joins the At&t Omnia FCC style

For those that took the plunge and ponied up the $700+ for the unlocked Samsung Omnia recently, unless you use T-mobile in the US you might want to think about selling that device and buying the NAM spec model on At&t.  As for the model numbers, the i910 and i907 are what we are seeing in the FCC filing.  The i910 is CDMA and lacks a SIM card slot (sorry no world edition for VZW) and the i907 looks slightly different that the current Omnia but will land on At&t.
