The manufacturer of the most coveted Windows Mobile devices and most recently, the Touch Pro and Touch Diamond, has just reported a 33% increase in earnings over the past year. In August alone, the earnings increased 11% with a revenue of $398.5 million USD and now HTC’s total earnings for the last eight months are NT$91.47 billion, up from last year’s 32.5%.
Industry sources were quoted as saying that the company aims to sell up to NT$38 billion for the third quarter of this year. With the upcoming release of the CDMA-based HTC Touch Diamond in the US, HTC could very well meet this ambitious goal.
With the launch of the HTC Touch Diamond and Touch Pro coming to the US via all the major carriers (and even Best Buy, unlocked), the sales forecast for HTC devices will continue to grow. Despite competition from other handset manufacturers, HTC remains untouched at the top of the Windows Mobile game and with the HTC Dream (Google Phone) coming to T-mobile in October, the future is bright.
