At&t Release Dates: HTC Fuze, BlackBerry Bold And Samsung Mirage

by Nick Marshall

If At&t subscribes hadn’t waiting long enough already for the BlackBerry Bold, the latest leak from an internal At&t documents lists the Bold’s release date as ETA November 2008.  We will be quick to dismiss this outrageous claim and maintain the October 2nd release date first announced by BGR.  Besides the BlackBerry Bold, the document also lists the HTC Fuze, formally known as the HTC Touch Pro, with a release date on October 23rd.  In any case it looks like October will be a big month for At&t as the Samsung Mirage i907, Samsung Omnia, will make its debut on October 21st.  Here is the full list of release dates for At&t this Fall 2008:

The Touch Pro ‘Fuze’ for At&t is still on its way next month with the BlackJack III. It is probably just a naming issue with mobiledia

The phone was NOT discontinued… I was in an AT&T store just today and got official comments from a manager and a head office employee. I don’t really feel like re-typing the whole thing but here is the reply I posted on XDA:

“Here is my little update according to my local AT&T corporate store in NYC:

I went there to ask about the Fuze and the Manager told me the guy from the head office in NYC was currently in the back restocking phones. I asked her if she could ask him about the phone’s release date and she called him out to the floor. He comes out and I ask if he knows about the Fuze he mentions he has heard about it and there is a training meeting on the 16th of this month. I asked if that meant that it would be released soon, he then told me that whenever one of those meetings takes place the phone officially launches a day or two thereafter.

Now having heard that from an official source with a nametag labeled AT&T and not just from some sales clerk I’m inclined to believe this. I’ve asked if they were absolutly sure because I was about to pick up another line and get a free phone until the launch date then return the free phone for the Fuze they said it would most certainly be way before the end of the 30day trial. So I picked up a freebie “loaner” and I’m happy to say I’ll more than likely be a day one owner . Just wanted to share my info with you guys.”

Just to let you know they also have the Diamond marked as discontinued, I really hate to say it but that site is garbage as far as having valid reliable info.

Dudes,
What’s up with the Fuze? Is it fizzled or what? It is now 11/03/08 and no word on the phone. Any one have a clue if and when this thing will fly? Desperately waiting so I can get my paws on one!
