With the LG Renoir (KC910) set to replace the LG Viewty, it looks like LG plans on releasing a series of devices all featuring the 8 megapixel sensor. The first device to follow the LG Renoir will be the LG KC780 slider which has already been tested and approved by the FCC for GSM 1900 and Bluetooth emissions. At this point the full spec sheet is unknown, but some details have been gathered from internal sources and the FCC documentation.
For starters the KC780 will be a quadband GSM device with GPRS/EDGE connectivity. It will feature an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, red eye reduction, face recognition and 30 fps. For storage, there will be 140MB of internal capacity with a microSD slot for additional needs and the device will offer Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity. No information on a release date or pricing are available at this time and we only have a blurry picture for now, but expect a formal announcement from LG in the coming weeks.
